Gunther is keeping busy

If I only had the energy he does! (grin). It is so much fun having a puppy around the house. Gunther loves the family together and seems to act the clown when he has all of our attention. We have had him 2 weeks today and not have I been sorry that we got him. He is a wonderful dog. Here is a photo of him from the other day.

By the way, the last I heard, Gunther's sister is still without a home. If you are interested in owning one of the best dogs you will ever have, please contact Jay. His information can be found a few posts down and links to him are in the sidebar.

Have a great one!

Monday was a BIG day

Yesterday was pretty busy around my house. Gunther turned 8 weeks and my daughter turned 19. Here is a picture of them.

Today I'll weigh the Gun-man because I noticed this morning he is definitely getting heavier. Picking the baby up is starting to get a little strained. (smile). We have been taking a photo of him about every day in the same place, so we can photo document his growth. I am hoping to pick out the best shots and put a slide show together of his progression.

Have a great day,

You can help this little girl

This little sweetheart is Gunther's sister. The person that was going to take her home backed out this morning and now she is all alone. This photo was a few weeks back. So she is now about the size of the Gun-man, 15 pounds. She has the most adorable little face and matching disposition. She has had her first shots and been dewormed. I've had Gunther with me now a week and if the other siblings are like him, you would be getting a fantastic dog and companion. Very family oriented and smart. Jay is an outstanding breeder so you will be getting not only a great puppy, but a lot of helpful information. If you are interested PLEASE email or call Jay at his contact info:

Finally Bath Photos

Ok, Ok, finally I've had time to work on Gunther's blog and photo gallery. The photos of his bath are at his photo gallery. Just go to the sidebar and click on More Gunther Photos.

It's always amazed me, how when I plan for time where nothing major is going on, EVERYTHING major happens. It's just life in my house and guess I should get use to it. (smile) But, anyway, on with Gunther news.

He is a doll. We are having so much fun with him. He is still eating really well and growing. He's around 14 pounds now. Every where we go we take him. He does really well in the car and is such a people puppy. He is a chewer, but thankfully he loves his chew toys instead of the furniture. (big sign of relief) The photo above is after his bath and he wanted to cuddle while drying off.

Have a great weekend and may you have many puppy kisses in your life.

12 pounds 7 weeks old

Check him out! Is he a hottie or what? Gunther is 7 weeks today and when I weighed him he was 12 pounds. I have been so busy that I haven't had a chance to put more photos online. But, I promise I will.

Gunther is doing wonderful. He's still sleeping through the night, eating well and has learned to climb the stairs in my house. That has kept us laughing. I just can't imagine what it would be like without him now. He has brought so much joy to the house.

WOW

The past few days have been crazy. Gunther is adjusting well to our schedule and is just as sweet as he can be. I can't begin to tell everyone how wonderful he is. Right now he is napping so I have a few minutes. LOL

So far he has slept both nights 98% of the night. He is really responding to his name and is starting to understand the positive praise. We are doing his commands in German and it's so much fun. He is so smart. Here is a photo of him when be brought him home. Today he is getting a bath and my daughter will get some photos of that so we can post them.

Gunther is home

I can't believe I am finally saying this, but GUNTHER IS HOME. We just walked in the door with him. Of course there will be pictures. The kids set up his condo, and after we visit and play and get settled I'll have more for the blog.

New Gun-Man Photos

We went to our visit with the little guy and we got a ton of great pictures. He was 6 weeks on Monday. Jay said that we could bring him home on Friday. I can't wait. Since we got some many good photos again, I made another slideshow. There are a couple of photos of Gunther's dad you will like. Here is the link. http://www.knittingsatori.com/6weeks.htm
He is going to be such a good dog. From the looks of it, and how he acts, he is exactly what I was looking for. The only thing that would make me happier is if he were here with us now. :-)

Slideshow

Last nights visit was short but so much fun. We stopped on our way to karate and visited with our little guy. We took so many pictures that turned out good that I made a slideshow of them. This litter is doing so well. They are playful, funny, growing and completely comical. By the way, there are 2 more that are in need of homes. If anyone is interested Jay's information and email address are located on the side bar. There is one picture of Gunther it's toward the end of the slideshow where we are leaving and I turned around and he was standing up against the wood divider that Jay has. Gunther has got those sad puppy eyes which will get him out of a lot of trouble in the future. LOL.

Anyway, here is the link to view Gunther's Slideshow

Katrina Relief

The American Kennel Club is doing it's part in the relief efforts from Hurricane Katrina. Below is a link to their web site where donations can be made. http://www.akc.org/ . As I get more information about what is being done for the rescue of the animals there I will be sure to post it. Also the ASPCA is also taking donations for their Katrina Disaster Relief. Click here for their web site

This is an article I just copied from the AKC web site.

You may also call Diane Albers, FAKC, at 800-597-2987."The AKC is greatly saddened by the devastating hurricane that continues to leave a path of destruction across the South," said Dennis B. "Notwithstanding the human tragedy and untold billions of dollars in damage, we expect there are untold numbers of canine victims that are in desperate need of our assistance. We will do everything in our power to help them." The AKC will continue to post frequent updates to our website at www.akc.org.
